Some comments from us about the area:

The Pinnicks are new to the Park Rapids/Menahga area but we are astounded at all there
is to do!  Of course, there is the  lovely little Lower Twin Lake that we reside upon, which
provides ample opportunities for boating and fishing.  Just sitting and feeling the calming
effect of the lake is wonderful.

And, there is much more!  Golf courses are dotted across the area with frequency; and
summer musicals and theatrical playhouses abound.  For example, right down the road
from us is the little town of Hubbard - they have a wonderful summer theatre with shows
all summer long.  Within ten miles of us in any direction, there are also farmers' markets,
antique sales, festivals and community events such as the 4th of July Parade in Park
Rapids.  We have been amazed that such events have been featured in every weekly
newspaper that we've received, beginning in May!   Summer is filled with activities and
beauty here.

But, let's not forget the other seasons.  Autumn was when we first saw 39050 Twin Lakes
Road and it was gorgeous.  AND, since we moved in March, during a blizzard (Rick
reminded Lyn of that very fact just moments ago!), the ice was not yet melted off the
lake.  Ice fishing and snowmobiling are popular, but the scenery is still worth seeing,
even in winter.  As we saw in March, what could have been barren and ugly was
breathtakingly beautiful.  Lyn will never forget waking up at sunrise (no curtains up yet in
the bedroom at that time and the sun woke her up!) on that first day and gazing out at
the lake...the sight of the unbroken whiteness of the lake, the pure blue of the sky with
the dark branches of the leaf-less winter trees silhouetted against the brilliant white of
the snow was dazzling.  It's a Courier and Ives kind of place!

Come visit us...in any season, there's lots to do!
